thousands of miles that have been used in all kinds of installations, especially agricultural irrigation and drinking water supplies. PVC pressure pipes are made by an extrusion process and are delivered bevelled and socketed for connection by gluing or with
elastic joints in accordance with applicable standards.
Characteristics:
-Easy assembly: very simple and inexpensive to handle, store and install thanks to the lightweight piping. Less digging and narrower trenching: no need for additional assembly space. The connection systemdoes not require the use of specialised labour.
-Chemical resistance: they are not affected by chemical substances in the water or soil and are therefore resistant to corrosion
-Abrasion resistance: thanks to their very smooth interior (low roughness), they are not affected by the action of solid particles in transported fluids, thus extending their useful life.
-Crushproof: the elastic modulus of PVC is a major advantage in buried applications, especially when the ground might move or vibrate. In pressure applications, reduced impact of water-hammer effect.
-Design economy: the extremely smooth interior maximises flow speed and hence means the use of very small gradients and a reduction in digging costs.
-Non-toxic: they do not alter the taste or colour of water, which makes them suitable for the transport of drinking water.
-Waterproof: these pipes do not absorb water.
-Watertight connections: easy to assemble and immediately usable.
-Electrical and thermal insulation: they do not conduct electricity or heat. Resistant to erratic, telluric and galvanic currents.
-Greater durability: PVC is a material that cannot be damaged by rodents or termites, and has a minimum useful life of 50 years.
-Low environmental impact: a raw material obtained with high energy efficiency; the manufacturing process involves no pollutant substances or gases, and the pipes are efficient for transport and are recyclable at the end of their useful life.
